s4s supported providers in the learning and skills sector from 2003 to 2007. For the first three years it was funded by the Learning and Skills Council and in its final year by the QIA, who have supported the work required to bring the s4s resources to you, here on the Excellence Gateway, in a new user-friendly way.
The QIA contract for the s4s Programme was completed at the end of July 2007. For four years the s4s Programme has successfully supported providers in improving the quality of provision and a great deal of knowledge and information has been captured in publications and materials.
The resource contains the following five sections, accessible by clicking a section on the left-hand menu:
Support for Success was managed and delivered by the Learning and Skills Development Agency (LSDA) and its successor organisation, the Learning and Skills Network (LSN), working in partnership with NIACE and the Association of Colleges throughout, and during 2003-2005 with Inclusion. The integrated and mutually supportive nature of this productive and responsive partnership is reflected in the resources held here.
