There are three themes in assessment and feedback:

This section provides resources to develop an understanding of assessment and feedback. The emphasis is on the following:

  • Formative assessment- differentiation by assessment
  • Defining and assessing personal and social skills.

The section on defining and assessing personal and social skills was written for Entry to Employment programmes. A very great deal can however be adapted to meet the needs of a much wider range of contexts in which trainees work. The section could also be used for developing tutoring skills.
