Welcome to the Gold Dust Resources
The Gold Dust resources are designed to support the development of generic skills, knowledge and understanding of trainee teachers in the lifelong learning sector. They have also been used very effectively by many of the providers who took part in the Gold Dust project as part of their organisation's own continuing professional development programme.
Some of the themes are far more comprehensive than others in terms of the range of resources provided. There are no resources for some themes such as 'equality and diversity'. One of the roles of the Centres for Excellence for Teacher Training (CETTs) is that they will disseminate, develop and update the resources. This should ensure that there is a good range of resources for all of the topics and themes that are part of initial teacher training programmes.
